This wool hat features the pattern of the famous Norwegian Sotra sweater, easily recognizable with a pattern of repeated eight-petal roses across it. The Bjorøy hat is made from 100% fine Norwegian wool from the sheep’s very first shearing. It features a rib knit brim with skin soft merino wool on the inside.

About the Wool

- Made from 100% fine Norwegian wool from the sheep’s very first shearing.
The fibers are short, giving us a finer and softer yarn. The outcome is thin, light and soft garments, while maintaining the brilliance, crimp and longevity for which Norwegian wool is world renowned. (Fiber diameter: 30.5 micron)
History
The original Sotra sweater was part of our collection in the early 1990s and originates from the Sotra island, west of Bergen, exposed to the harsh weather from the North Sea. This hat is named after Bjorøy, a small island in the same archipelago as the Sotra island.
