The Kvaløy features an oversized, yet sophisticated rib knit pattern, a rib knit turtleneck collar, and reversed seams on the shoulder. Made of 100% air-spun merino wool the Kvaløy offers a super soft feel and a hand knit look.

About the Wool
Seagull - Lightweight Wool
Our premium yarn from South American crossbred sheep, produced exclusively for Dale of Norway. This light and soft yarn is perfect for mid-layer garments requiring a lighter and softer feel. To make it machine washable it undergoes a revolutionary new wool treatment using natural non-toxic salts. Naturally, our wool is mulesing-free. Garments knitted with Seagull can be machine washed using wool-cycle. (Fiber diameter: 27 micron)
History
The Kvaløy (“whale island”) is named after mainland Norway’s fifth largest island. The island is situated in North-Norway, known for its rich fishing traditions.
