The 4th of July started the right way in the Endwell/Endicott running community: with four miles, red-white-and-blue energy, a big local crowd, and a fast finish at Visions Federal Credit Union Headquarters.

The 2026 4 on the 4th Road Race Presented by Visions Federal Credit Union brought runners and walkers together on Saturday, July 4 for one of the Southern Tier’s favorite holiday traditions. The event was held at Visions Headquarters on Country Club Road in Endwell and once again gave the community a race that feels equal parts competitive, family-friendly, and proudly local.
This year’s race was also the 8th Annual 4 on the 4th, continuing the road toward the event’s 10th anniversary celebration in 2028.
A Holiday Race with Real Community Roots
What makes 4 on the 4th special is that it is more than a fast July road race. It has become a community gathering.
Visions Federal Credit Union has built the event around the full race-day experience: a patriotic course, premium race swag, finisher medals, awards, refreshments, and a post-race atmosphere that feels like a neighborhood celebration. The course gives runners a challenge early, then rewards them with a fast finish back near Visions HQ.
The event also continues to support local first responder organizations. Race donations are evenly split among:
- Endicott Auxiliary Police
- Union Volunteer Emergency Squad
- Endwell Fire Department, O.L. Davis Fire Company
That first responder connection matters. These are the groups helping keep the course, runners, volunteers, families, and spectators safe on race morning.

Official timing and results were provided by Falcon Race Timing, with 651 finishers listed in the 2026 overall results.
Men’s Overall
Brian Fuller of Mechanicsburg, PA took the overall win in 20:21.23, running 5:05 pace for four miles. Fuller also won the 2025 race in 20:40.46, so this year was not just a repeat win — it was a faster one.
Daniel Schaffer finished second in 20:25.30, just four seconds back, making the top of the race extremely competitive.
Steve Esposito of Binghamton finished third among the overall men in 22:34.83, continuing a strong run of 4 on the 4th performances after finishing 3rd overall in 2024 and 5th overall in 2025.
Women’s Overall
Sadie James of Sayre, PA led the women’s field in 23:42.48, finishing 9th overall and averaging 5:56 pace.
Emily Fuller of Mechanicsburg, PA was second in 25:13.02, improving from her 25:39.00 finish at the 2025 race.
Dakota Limbert of Endicott finished third in 27:06.41, giving the local crowd a strong hometown podium performance.
Masters Winners
The masters races were strong as well.
Andrew Cloke of Horseheads won the men’s masters division in 21:50.02, finishing 3rd overall.
Marci Shofkom of Harpursville won the women’s masters division in 27:52.73, finishing 33rd overall and running under 7-minute pace. Shofkom has now been the women’s masters winner at 4 on the 4th in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
Local Names Keep Showing Up
One of the best parts of a race like 4 on the 4th is seeing familiar names from across the Southern Tier racing calendar.
