Confluence Running Events Presents: Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo
BINGHAMTON, NY MAY 9TH, 2024 — Confluence Running Events is thrilled to announce the annual "Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo" to be held at the Ross Park Zoo on May 18, 2024. This unique running event offers participants the opportunity to “loop” the lemurs (via running or walking) as many times as they can within 6-hour, 2-hour, or 1-hour time frames. Each lap around the .8 mile loop not only brings joy to our participants but also to Menabe and Rizzo, the beloved black-and-white ruffed lemurs of the zoo. There is also a team mileage competition for teams that get the highest mileage total as well as a kids fun run! Join us to become a part of The Lemur Hall of Legends and celebrate post-race at the “Tail”-Gate Party sponsored by Sweetay’s LLC and live band Dr. Dana & the Jam Dept. The “Tail”-Gate is complimentary for runners and spectators may purchase additional plates for themselves. Register today while race shirt and medal supplies last!
Confluence Running, based in Binghamton, NY, with additional locations in Goshen, Corning, and Watertown, is dedicated to improving community health through innovative running events and expert knowledge in footwear science. The Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo event is proudly hosted by the Ross Park Zoo, with additional support from local and national businesses committed to conservation and community wellness. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ross Park Zoo in its efforts to protect endangered species like the black-and-white ruffed lemur. Participants are encouraged to contribute beyond the registration fee to support this cause.
