The Saucony Echelon remains one of our favorite starting points for runners and walkers who want a broad, stable platform, generous internal volume, multiple widths, or extra room for an orthotic. The Echelon 11 is the current in-stock running model at Confluence Running, while limited older Echelon and Echelon Walker inventory can offer additional value where sizes remain.
Why runners and walkers choose the Echelon
The Echelon uses a broad, relatively straight platform with Saucony PWRRUN cushioning. That combination makes it useful for daily running, fitness walking, long days on your feet, and shoppers who need more internal room than a traditional neutral trainer provides.
For orthotic users, the removable factory insole and accommodating shape can make the Echelon a useful fitting starting point. Compatibility still depends on the individual foot, orthotic, size, width, and shoe volume, so an in-store fitting is worthwhile when possible.
Running shoe or walking shoe?
The Echelon 11 is the better choice when you want a breathable running-shoe upper and a platform suited to running as well as walking. The Echelon Walker 3 uses a more traditional walking-shoe construction and can be a strong option for work, everyday walking, or customers who prefer that style of upper.
