The GTS 26 is the next generation of Brooks' long-running Adrenaline stability/support franchise. At Confluence Running, Regular and Wide widths are merged into one product page per gender, so shoppers can choose size, width and color without moving between separate product listings.

The GTS 25 remains the best factual baseline for understanding the upcoming 26. What changed from the GTS 25 to the GTS 26?
Brooks' technical sheet now confirms several meaningful updates. The GTS 26 keeps the GuideRails™ Technology System and DNA LOFT v3 foam, but Brooks says the cushioning has been reengineered for a smoother, steadier ride and a more dynamic toe-off. The upper uses engineered air mesh with targeted structure, while a new softer, more flexible flat-knit tongue is designed to improve top-of-foot comfort. Brooks also adds a flat-knit heel loop for easier entry.
What we are not claiming yet: we have not replaced hands-on fitting with a spec sheet. We will add Confluence-specific ride, fit, width and transition notes once our staff can fit runners in the production shoe.

Brooks Adrenaline history: from the 1999 “Go-To Shoe” to the GTS 26
The GTS 26 is the newest chapter in a Brooks line that began in 1999. Brooks says the original GTS meant “Go-To Shoe”: a supportive model developed with specialty running retailers who wanted more flexibility and responsiveness than the Addiction. By the GTS 4 in 2002, Brooks says the Adrenaline had become its best-selling shoe.
The support philosophy evolved, too. The early Adrenalines used the Progressive Diagonal Rollbar; the GTS 19 marked the major move into GuideRails. Today, Brooks uses GTS for its GuideRails Technology System support models.
The history is bigger than shoe technology. We found documented Adrenaline race stories ranging from Emily Infeld winning an 800 in trainers at age 14, to Andy B.'s 1:26:17 half-marathon victory, to Riley Cook winning a marathon in 2:38:34 with all 26.22 miles logged to the Adrenaline 15. We also found first-marathon, sub-four-hour and ultramarathon stories where the goal—not the podium—was the history.
