Great American Weekend 5K

The Great American Weekend 5K is being listed for Sunday, July 4, 2027 in Goshen as a tentative date based on the event’s 2026 Independence Day placement and Orange County running tradition. The road race gives Hudson Valley runners a holiday-weekend competition tied to the broader Great American Weekend community celebration. Confluence Running is publishing the projected date now so athletes and families can plan their July 4 schedule in advance. The organizer has not yet confirmed the 2027 race, so the exact course, start time, registration, packet pickup, awards, festival coordination, road closures, and other race-day logistics may change.

The Great American Weekend 5K adds a road race to Goshen's Independence Day weekend celebration and the Hudson Valley summer running calendar.

Projected planning date for 2028; organizer confirmation is still pending.
