Information Collected Through Different BHC Brands and Programs
Information provided to one part of the BHC Network may become part of a shared customer, participant, or contact record maintained within the BHC Network.
For example, a customer may interact with Confluence Running, register for a Confluence Running Events race, participate in the Confluence Elite Racing Team, or provide contact information through one of our individual event websites or forms.
Where permitted by law and consistent with the consent or notice provided when the information was collected, we may associate those interactions with the same individual and use that information throughout the BHC Network.

Likewise, information collected through Ruthie’s Run or Lake Placid Running & Triathlon Company may be used within the BHC Network where permitted by law and consistent with the applicable notice and consent.
Sharing information within the BHC Network is not treated by us as selling personal information to an unrelated company.
Consent and Communication Preferences
We may maintain records showing whether and how an individual consented to receive communications.
Depending on the consent presented when information was collected, that consent may apply to communications from one specific brand, event, or program, or it may apply more broadly to the BHC Network.
Where a customer or participant has provided consent covering the BHC Network, we may use that contact information to communicate about relevant products, races, events, programs, stores, teams, services, educational content, and community activities offered through the network.
Where consent was limited to a particular brand, program, communication channel, or purpose, we will use that information in accordance with those limitations and applicable law.

If you subscribe to marketing emails, register for participating programs, join a loyalty program, or otherwise provide applicable consent, we may send promotional, educational, event, or customer-related email communications.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link provided in the message.
Unsubscribing from marketing email does not prevent us from sending transactional or service communications that are necessary to fulfill an order, administer a registration, respond to a request, or manage an existing customer relationship.

Text-message consent is maintained in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented when you enroll.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchase unless expressly permitted by applicable law.
You may opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions included in the message, such as replying STOP when applicable.
We do not provide SMS opt-in information or SMS consent records to unaffiliated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Service providers that help us operate our messaging programs may receive information as necessary to perform those services on our behalf.
Telephone and Postal Communications
When permitted by law and consistent with the information or consent provided, we may also communicate by telephone or postal mail regarding products, events, programs, services, registrations, customer service, or other activities within the BHC Network.

Marketing Preference Changes Across the BHC Network
If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications, you may use the unsubscribe or opt-out mechanism provided in the applicable communication.
Because different communication programs may use different systems or require separate consent under applicable law, opting out of one communication channel or program might not automatically opt you out of every separate communication program.
We will honor opt-out requests according to applicable law and the scope of the request.
You may also contact us at orders@confluencerunning.com if you need assistance updating communication preferences.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
This can include maintaining transaction, customer, participant, registration, loyalty, consent, tax, accounting, customer-service, fraud-prevention, and legal records.
Retention periods vary depending on the information and the reason it is maintained.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
However, no internet transmission, information system, or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
International Processing
Our technology and service providers may process or store personal information in countries other than the country where the information was originally collected.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate mechanisms are used for international transfers.
Children
Our general ecommerce services are not directed to children under 13 for independent purchases or marketing.
Some BHC events, races, athletic programs, or community activities may include minors.
When information about a minor is collected in connection with those activities, we may collect and use information as reasonably necessary to register the participant, administer the event or program, provide safety and operational communications, maintain results or records, and satisfy legal or organizational requirements.
Where parental or guardian authorization is legally required, we will seek that authorization as appropriate.
Event Results, Photography, and Public Participation Information
Some races, athletic events, teams, and public programs within the BHC Network may involve publication of information traditionally associated with participation in public sporting events.
Depending on the event and applicable registration terms, this may include participant names, age-group information, team affiliation, bib numbers, finish times, rankings, results, photographs, video, or similar event information.
Event-specific registration terms, waivers, photography notices, or participation agreements may provide additional information about these uses.
Third-Party Websites and Platforms
Our websites, communications, and events may link to third-party websites, registration platforms, payment systems, social-media services, maps, timing systems, or other independent services.
Those services have their own privacy practices and policies.
We encourage you to review their privacy policies when using them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our organization, brands, events, technology, services, legal requirements, or business practices.
The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.
