ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 27: what made it notable
The GEL-NIMBUS 27 continued ASICS' maximum-cushion neutral line with a soft, smooth ride aimed at daily training and high-mileage comfort. Its combination of FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning, PureGEL™ technology, and a wide platform made it especially appealing to runners prioritizing protection and easy-mile comfort.
Fit & feel
The GEL-NIMBUS 27 used an engineered jacquard mesh upper with a knitted tongue and collar for a soft, secure feel around the foot. Underfoot, FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning and PureGEL™ in the heel were designed to soften landings without turning the shoe into an unstable platform.
The wide base also helped the shoe feel planted despite its high level of cushioning. An 8 mm heel-to-toe drop kept the geometry familiar for runners transitioning from many traditional neutral trainers.

Technical details
The GEL-NIMBUS 27 paired its cushioned midsole with a HYBRID ASICSGRIP™ outsole that combined ASICSGRIP™ rubber and AHARPLUS™ materials for durability and traction. ASICS also incorporated recycled content into much of the upper and used a solution-dyed sockliner as part of its sustainability approach.
