Start with three questions

01

When and where are you going?

Think about daylight, streetlights, surface, traffic, access hours and the time you expect to return.

02

What do you need to see?

Choose a forward beam helping you read the actual surface at your walking or running pace.

03

Where will others notice you?

Check reflective material and active LEDs from the front, back and sides with your full outfit and pack on.

Choose a guide for your next outing

Where you go changes what you bring

SIDEWALKS

Crossings and driveways

Plan crossings, look for turning or reversing vehicles and keep your attention available around parked cars.

RURAL ROADS

Room away from vehicles

Prioritize a separated route or usable space. Reconsider narrow shoulders and blind bends after dark.

TRAILS

Footing and navigation

Check opening hours and permitted use. Know the route, carry reserve lighting and leave time for a slower return.

WINTER

Current surface conditions

Check ice, snowbanks and cleared sidewalks. Recheck visibility after adding outer layers.

Build coverage with gear you will use

Plan the route before you leave

Use sidewalks when available. Without a sidewalk, face oncoming traffic and stay as far from vehicles as possible, following local rules. Choose another route when there is no usable space or clear view.

Share your plan privately with a trusted contact. Keep a phone and identification accessible. Pause audio and give traffic your full attention at crossings.

Questions before your next run

I already have a flashlight. Where should I start?

Bring it with your usual layers. Check the beam on your surface, carrying comfort over the full outing and the visible coverage around your body.

I want something light and simple. What should I try?

Look at a lightweight reflective layer or a small clip-on light, then add a forward beam wherever your route needs it. Start with our reflective and LED guide.

What if glare or weather blocks my view?

Slow down and stop in a protected place away from traffic if you cannot identify the path. Continue only with a clear view and room to proceed, or use your backup route.

How do I choose without buying more than I need?

Start with your route, what you already own and the problem you want to solve. Try the fit and controls while moving. Ask us to help check your combination.

Bring your route. Try the setup.

Tell us when you go out, what the surface is like and what you already use. We will help you compare the fit, light position and visible coverage.

This year, we’re expanding to a 10K event, aiming to attract even more participants and make a greater impact. Any contribution- big or small- hleps make this event a success! Help us honor our law enforcement community and bring the community together for a meaningful day of fitness and fun. We are seeking donations of anything pertaining to safety vest, lights or anything reflective to use while you go for an early morning or late night run. These donations will be used for door prizes or be put in their goodie bags.
