Southern Tier Cross Country Race #1 - Owego Free Academy

Southern Tier Cross Country Race #1 opens Confluence Running’s five-race adult cross-country series at Owego Free Academy in Owego, New York. The 5K gives runners a true cross-country race environment and begins a fall series built around changing Southern Tier venues, varied terrain, and the chance to compete across multiple races rather than a single standalone event.

Southern Tier Cross Country Race #1 is being listed for Sunday, September 26, 2027 at Owego Free Academy with a projected 9:00 a.m. start. The tentative date is based on the 2026 Confluence Running series and its final-September-Sunday opening. STXC gives adult runners a true cross-country racing experience across changing Southern Tier venues rather than repeating the same road course. Confluence Running is publishing the projected date now so athletes and teams can plan ahead. The 2027 series is not yet final, so venue access, course design, divisions, team scoring, registration, start time, and race-day procedures may change.
