Senior Running and Walking Festival | Vestal Coal House

Over 100 older adults, including many who are over 80 years old, will be celebrated as they cross the finish line on Saturday, September 8th in the Seniors Running and Walking Festival. Open to anyone 55 years or older, this event includes people of all abilities, those who are fast or slow, walk or run, use a cane, a wheelchair, and even those needing someone to push their wheelchair. Some older people will be completing their first-ever 5K or their first race of any kind. Events include 1-mile walk, 1-mile run, 5K walk and 5K run. All events will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 8:30 AM, at the Coal House Café on the Vestal Rail Trail.

At the Aid Station, The BATs provided everything to the participants from Salt Potatoes, to Watermelon, to Honey, to Hotdogs.  The BATs aid station is a tradition for the group.  They set up at the "Underpass" aid station which is located near the underpass of New York State Route 13 at the intersection of NYS Route 34.
