Dale of Norway Vilja Sweater — Women's Lightweight Wool
The Vilja draws on the bold graphic language of the 1950s and 1960s, enlarging traditional Norwegian motifs into a sweater that feels playful, nostalgic, and unmistakably Dale of Norway. The design combines the classic eight-petal rose with crosses associated with Setesdal and Cortina patterning, along with the traditional “lice” motif.
Despite its strong visual presence, the sweater is knitted in lightweight wool for easier everyday wear.
The Ruthie's Run edit
Vilja is one of those pieces that looks made for a Lake Placid winter. It has enough color and pattern to stand out in an après-ski setting, but the lighter wool keeps it more versatile than a heavy traditional knit.
