Race Day Footwear Guide
Choose race-day footwear by surface and event—not by one catch-all category.
Track spikes, cross-country spikes, spike-free racing shoes and trail shoes solve different problems. Modern road racing shoes may use carbon plates or other propulsion systems, while track and XC spikes use pinned traction and event-specific geometry. Trail shoes can also be a practical option for athletes who need one shoe for daily training plus off-road or XC terrain.
Use the Men’s or Women’s Race Day Footwear pages to shop the four categories separately.
