Wineglass Race Week 2026 | Half & Marathon Guide for Wineglass Alumni
Wineglass Race Week 2026
Welcome back, Wineglass Alumni.
If you have finished the Wineglass Half Marathon or Wineglass Marathon before, you already know that race week is about more than fitness. The work is largely done. Now the goal is to protect it: pace with discipline, fuel before you need it, remove avoidable gear problems, know the logistics, and arrive on Market Street with the best version of your day still available.
2026 race day: Sunday, October 4.
The guide covers course execution, pacing, nutrition, hydration, weather planning, shoes, laces, socks, anti-chafe, sports bras and apparel, buses, gear check, the Expo, and the race-eve checklist.
Which Wineglass are you racing?

The Wineglass Alumni rule: nothing new on race day
Race week is a poor time to introduce an unfamiliar shoe, sock, bra, gel, hydration system, anti-chafe routine, or major pacing idea. Use what you have practiced. If you are solving a problem now, solve it with the least disruptive change possible.

Weather watch
As of September 23, it is still too early to treat a day-specific October 4 forecast as reliable. NOAA's Climate Prediction Center outlook for October 1–7 currently favors above-normal temperature and precipitation categories for New York, but that is a broad regional outlook—not a race-morning forecast. NOAA's September 23 week-two hazards outlook does not currently flag a broad temperature, precipitation, snow, or wind hazard for New York during that period.
We will refresh the race-day weather guidance as Wineglass moves into a more reliable short-range forecast window. Until then, prepare options rather than committing to one outfit or pace adjustment.
See Confluence at the Wineglass Expo
The 2026 Wineglass Health & Fitness Expo is at the Corning Museum of Glass:
Friday, October 2: 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 3: 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Confluence Running is listed as an official 2026 Expo vendor. Bring us the small problems before they become race-day problems: lacing, socks, fuel storage, hydration, chafing, bra/apparel fit, weather layers, or questions about the shoe you already plan to race in.
Wineglass weekend footwear offer
Select clearance footwear: 1 pair for $110 / 2 pairs for $170.
Important: a completely unfamiliar shoe is not a good race-day experiment. Use this offer for a model you already trust, a backup pair, your next training pair, or recovery/everyday mileage.
